In 1989, a number of leading engineers from Canada had a great idea: to invent a better alternative to conventional dehumidifiers for humidity control. After much research and development the Humidex moisture control and ventilation system was born. Humidex approached the problem by focusing in on the major source of moisture problems which is the lowest point in a house where there is the most moisture infiltration, stagnation and condensation; namely the basement and crawl space. This revolutionized dehumidification because it dealt with the problem in a logical natural process with phenomenal results throughout the entire house.
